CHILDHOOD REVENGE

The poem about revenge comes to my mind when I have witnessed an incident in which two brothers were fighting and they both planning to take revenge for the same. I tried to resolve their conflict however the situation become worse and I was unable to resolve their issue. Then I understand the effect of revenge in the personal life and this thinking motivates me to write a poem about revenge. The poem about war and the poem about revenge are interconnected. Revenge and conflict are the fundamental reason for the war. Peace and love should be the binding material in between the human relationship. Sometimes people feel lonely; they do not know why they are living? This causes starting of depression. Do not avoid anyone in our life because in future what will happen nobody does not know. Thus take away the revenge and the depressions from our minds and spread the message of love to humankind.

I woke up in shock from my afternoon nap

The squeaking sound of the boy in the house across the street

I do not know if it’s true or not

Two younger brothers are arguing over something

Their dispute ends in a scuffle

My attempt at peace talks as a mediator

When asked the reason,

One poured water on the other’s head

But he threw the stone on him

There was blood on the elder brother’s leg

The revenged elder hit his on brother’s head

Will I witness World War III?

I put the two of them together in each line

I punished elder brother and tried to end the riot

Before the stick is raised to punish the elder

The volcano began to weep as the lava erupted

The ‘mother’ stares at me

Pretending to be the reason for crying

I went to find a solution to a conflict

Became a stabber

I’m trying to be a dove of peace now

The corpse turned into a wash in the yard

To a riotous world

We are children crying and fighting

Leaving strife will be a sign of peace

Let’s wait for a better tomorrow
